Born into a family of musicians, William Grynszpan, violinist and cellist Benjamin Grynszpan, have a rich background of musical experiences despite their young age. William was only 11 years old and Benjamin 9, when jazz bassist Pierre Boussaguet wrote them an arrangement of Stéphane's Song (Grappelli)which they all performed together in the large auditorium of Salies-de-Béarn.

William and Benjamin continue to perform in orchestral, chamber and duo concerts, notably on France 2. Pictures of the Past is their first professional recording.

 

For two seasons, William was part of the first violins of the Sorbonne Orchestra (COSU) and played with the Ensemble Nouvelles Portées at the occasion of the reopening of the Hotel Crillon in Paris. He recently participated in a full production of West Side Story at Arène’Ice in Cergy Pontoise.

Benjamin was selected to play with members of the Arts Florissants at the Philharmonie de Paris and performed at the Salle Gaveau with the Ensemble Violoncelle en Seine. In 2018 he was a finalist in the French Youth Orchestra Competition.

 

When they are not working on their instruments, William, passionate about history, is also very athletic and practices Brazilian jujitsu. Ben, meanwhile, closely follows his favorite baseball teams, the New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, likes to jog and watch movies.

 

William is currently a student of violinist and conductor Haïk Davtian and Benjamin, a student of cellist Cyrille Lacrouts. This summer they had the great pleasure of working with the members of the Voce String Quartet in the third edition of the Academy Voce - Quartet in Vendôme.
